1. Navigate to the EnGage website https://engage.box5software.com/
2. Click the Login Menu item
3. Click on "Create an account"
4. Enter your information. Note the password requirements:
• Minimum 8 characters
• One uppercase letter
• One lowercase letter
• One number
5. Read and agree to the terms and conditions
6. Press the "Create" button when you are ready and you will be taken to a welcome screen to notify you that you will receive an email shortly to confirm your registration.
7. You will receive an email (check your spam folder) to activate your account. You will have to click the "Verify Email Address" link in the email. After you do that you can go back to engage.box5software.com and login.

When you login to your account, the first page you are greeted with is the main page or groups list page. This page allows you to manage your groups and access your Account Settings.

You can access your Account Settings from the Group List page on the left hand side. From there you can update your name and email address, and change your password. You can also delete your account from here.

When you delete your account it will not be deleted immediately. Instead, it is flagged for deletion and you will have 30 days to re-activate. Re-activating your account simply means logging in again the normal way within that 30 day window. After 30 days has past your account will be permanently deleted along with all of the Groups that you own and any data that has been uploaded to them. This includes any drill that was uploaded to your group by a Collaborator.

You can change your password from the Account Settings Page.

This feature has not been automated yet. If you have a problem logging in to your account please email contact@box5software.com with the email address that you logged in with and we can reset your password for you.

Pricing is based around the concept of Groups and mobile users. Groups cost $10 per user per year. The EnGage App is free for everyone to use but you need a Group access code to use it in any meaningful way. Group owners can pay up front to allow a pre-determined number of users to access the Group drill. Please see the pricing page for more information.

This is a multi-step process. Here is an overview:

1. Export your drill from EnVision Visual Performance Design as a JSON file using File -> "Export JSON".
2. On the Group Page in the EnGage Portal, select the "Upload" button near the middle-top of the screen. From there navigate to and select your JSON export from step 1.

Note that music is not currently exported with your drill.

A group is a representation of your organization that the drill is for. For example, marching band 'A' should have a group, and all the drill files for their field show and halftime show should go in that group. However, Indoor Drum Line 'B' should not have their drill in the same Group as band 'A', they should have their own group. The reason is that everyone who has the Access Code for a group can download every drill file that is uploaded to that group, so if the drill for both 'A' and 'B' was located in the same group then all members of both 'A' and 'B' would have access to that drill.

You can create a new group from the Group List page. Press the "New Group" button above the group list and enter the name of the group you wish to create. If your account doesn't have any available groups left then the "New Group" button will be disabled for you and you won't be able to create a new group.

You can use the "New Group" button on the home page to initiate the group creation process. Groups require payment to be made but you can run as many groups as you need.

You can delete a group from the Groups List Page or the Group page. On the Groups List page, check the checkbox next to the group that you want to delete. When the group is selected then the delete button will appear above the groups list. Press that button to delete the group. Be sure that you want the group to be deleted because there is no way to recover it once it is deleted and all the drill data that is associated with it will be deleted too.

You can also delete a Group from the Group page. Select the "Delete Group" button on the left to delete the group.

From the Groups List page, simply click on the row containing the group you want to open.

The Group Page is where you can edit the details for each group, add or remove collaborators, and upload and download drill.

The Group Access Code is the main way that users of the EnGage App will access the drill files in this group. You will share this code with all the members of your organization and they will enter it into their EnGage app on their devices. This will grant them access to all the drill that has been uploaded to this Group.

If you are using the same Group year to year and your membership changes then you might want to change the code of the group so the old code is invalidated. Once the old code is invalidated then no one with that code will be able to download new drill that is uploaded. However they will still be able to access all the drill that had previously been downloaded to their device.

You can change the Access Code by pressing the "New Code" button on the Group Page. This will generate a new code and invalidate the old one.

You can rename your group by pressing the "Rename Group" button in the Group Page on the left hand side.

Mobile Users are users of the EnGage mobile app. From the perspective of a Group, they are anyone who is allowed to view the uploaded drills of that group.

Once you share the Access Code, any new device that uses that access code to access the Group is considered a new mobile user.

A Collaborator is another EnGage Portal user who has access to upload and download drill from your Group.

Consider the scenario where a Band Director outsources the drill writing to a professional Drill Writer. In this case the Band Director would be the owner of the account and the Drill Writer would be a Collaborator. The Collaborators are allowed to upload drill files into a Group owned by someone else so that they may be accessible by the owner, by other collaborators, and can be downloaded by EnGage Mobile App users using the Access Code.

You can add Collaborators to your Group from the Group Page on the bottom left in the "Collaborators" section. Here you will see all the collaborators already added to your group as well as yourself. If you are a collaborator of someone else's group then you will be able to see the Group Owner listed here.

Add a Collaborator by pressing the '+' button in the Collaborators section. You will be asked to provide their email address. If they are already a member of the EnGage portal then they will be added to your Group immediately and they will be notified by email. If they are not a member already then they will be sent an email asking them to register for EnGage Portal, at which point they will be automatically added to your Group.

You can remove Collaborators from your Groups by pressing the "Edit" button in the Collaborators section in the Group Page. This will display "X" buttons on each collaborator. Simply press the "X" of the collaborator that you wish to delete and they will be deleted. Note that you cannot delete Collaborators of Groups that you do not own.
